Patrick Farrelly & Kate O'Callaghan (Filmmakers)

Patrick Farrelly has worked primarily in television in the United States, most of which has been in collaboration with Kate O'Callaghan. For a number of years Farrelly was a producer working with Michael Moore ("Bowling for Columbine," "Fahrenheit 911"). He was a producer for both seasons of Moore's Emmy® Award-winning political satire "TV Nation." He was a producer on Moore's series "The Awful Truth" that was broadcast by Channel 4 in the UK and Bravo in the United States. He was the producer of a five hour documentary series on the city of Las Vegas for the Discovery Channel and broadcast in the fall of 2002. He has worked as a producer for the television arm of the New York Times, New York Times Television making documentaries for Discovery Communications. Farrelly was also a producer with the RTE/PBS co-production "Stateside" a series that chronicled contemporary Irish immigrant life in the United States. He produced and directed with Kate O'Callaghan "Raise The Roof," a feature documentary on Irish traditional music that won a documentary prize at the 2003 Galway Film Festival and was broadcast by RTE, the Irish national television network, in the summer of 2003. It also won Best Documentary at Mississippi's Crossroads Film Festival in 2004. In Ireland Farrelly worked as a public affairs, features and documentary producer for RTE Radio. His journalism has appeared in The Irish Times, the Sunday Tribune, the Sunday Times of London, New York Daily News and the Village Voice. For five years he was Editor of the New York-based Irish Voice newspaper and was also Features Editor of the New York Post under the (very) brief editorship of Pete Hamill.

Kate O'Callaghan
Kate O'Callaghan worked for a number of years as a producer with Michael Moore. She was a producer for both seasons of Moore's Emmy® Award-winning political satire "TV Nation." She was a producer on Moore's series "The Awful Truth" that was broadcast by Channel 4 in the UK and Bravo in the United States. With Patrick Farrelly she produced and directed "Raise The Roof," a feature documentary on Irish traditional music. "Raise The Roof" won a documentary prize at the 2003 Galway Film Festival and was broadcast by RTE, the Irish National Television Network in the fall of 2003. It also won Best Documentary at Mississippi's Crossroads Film Festival in 2004. With Patrick Farrelly, she was the producer of a five hour documentary series on the city of Las Vegas for The Discovery Channel that was broadcast in the fall of 2002. She also produced a half-hour long documentary, "Super Tuesday" on the 2000 New York State Presidential Primaries for TG4, an Irish television network. O'Callaghan co-wrote "Broken Harvest," a feature film set in Ireland in the 1950s. The film received a commercial release in Ireland and the UK and was shown in art house cinemas in the United States. Her journalism has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Audubon magazine, and the New York Daily News. In Ireland she worked as a researcher with RTE television and radio.
