Jesse Givens was an Army PFC assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment of Fort Carson, Colo. He was parked in an M-1 main battle tank along the bank of the Euphrates River when the riverbank gave way, causing the tank to plunge into the river, where he drowned. In a poignant moment, his wife Melissa shares memories of Jesse and reads a letter he wrote to her and their two sons, to be opened in the event of his death.
