I Used to Be A Filmmaker
Jay Rosenblatt captures the joyous, unpredictable and often hilarious process of fatherhood in the short film I USED TO BE A FILMMAKER. The CINEMAX REEL LIFE documentary features vignettes of Rosenblatt's baby daughter Ella during the first two years of her life, from diaper changes to "DaDa" to baby's first steps, punctuated by tongue-in-cheek setup cards drawn from the filmmaker's vernacular, such as "Establishing Shot," "Soft Focus," "Hand-Held" and "Flashback."
I USED TO BE A FILMMAKER was selected as Best Short Documentary at the Nashville Film Festival, won a special jury award at the Aspen Shortsfest, and has been screened at more than 30 festivals worldwide.
I USED TO BE A FILMMAKER is directed by Jay Rosenblatt; with Ella Rosenblatt; camera, Thomas Logoreci.
