5AM: The first call on Monday's call sheet is 4:42 AM, when the second assistant directors, hair and make-up people and costumers are due on the set. In the next couple of hours until sunrise, dozens of background players, cast and crew members arrive and prepare for a big day, which includes filming scene 82-A — the arrival of the stage and the Earp brothers to Deadwood.
For background, 50 miners, 25 tradesman and 15 'business types' are dressed by costumers and go to hair and make-up; they are then aged and dirtied.
