The Reverend H.W. Smith is an unusual character, even for Deadwood. After the Civil War, he left his wife and children and eventually arrived in Deadwood. The Reverend is usually working during the week and always preaching on Sundays.
Decency is a rare commodity in Deadwood, but Rev. Smith does what he
can to serve the residents of the camp, making an effort to ensure that even
the worst of people are given proper burials.
Discuss Rev. Smith on the Deadwood Bulletin Boards.

Deadwood Nuggets
According to eye witnesses, Wild Bill Hickok could hit a dime tossed into the air nine out of ten times; he could knock an apple from a tree with one shot and then hit the apple again with another bullet before it hit the ground, all at 25 paces.
