 Executive Producer
 Stu Smiley developed and currently serves as executive producer of "Flight of The Conchords," set to premiere on HBO in June of 2007. He has also developed and executive produced "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "The Mind of the Married Man." Smiley also founded is the executive director of the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival (USCAF), which celebrated its thirteenth year.
As an executive producer, Smiley has won two Emmys® for best comedy for Everybody Loves Raymond, which was nominated 6 times for Outstanding Comedy Series. Smiley has also won Cable ACE awards for both HBO's "20 Years of Comedy" and "George Carlin" 40 Years of Comedy," which was produced at the 1997 USCAF.
He began his successful association with HBO in 1986 when he was named Vice President, Comedy, to develop specials and series. In 1990, as Senior Vice President, Programming, he spearheaded the launch of the Comedy Channel-- now Comedy Central--and developed cult hits "Mystery Science Theater 3000" and "The Kids in the Hall."
As Senior Vice President of Creative Development at Fox Broadcasting from 1990 through 1994, Smiley was responsible for developing "Roc." From 1983 to 1986, Smiley served as Vice President, Variety, for Showtime.
From 1976 to 1982, Smiley was as a manager at Rollins & Joffee where he handled star clients including Robin Williams and David Letterman.
Smiley was raised in Riverdale, NY and began his show business career as a production assistant on Woody Allen's "Annie Hall." He currently lives in Santa Monica, California.
