| SERIOUS FUNNY BUSINESS |
|
Now in its seventh year, the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival has become the official comedy caterer to some of the biggest industry leaders hoping to find the next big thing. From its meager beginnings, the USCAF has snowballed into what the New York Times has called the most important gathering in the comedy business.
But before the agents and managers start spreadin' the shmooze, there's a festival that needs to get off the ground, and it takes more than just a few mic checks. If you were to ask festival founders, Stu Smiley, Brian Murphy, John Moffitt and Pat Lee, they would be the first to tell you it's become a year-round gig!

Handling everything from the global talent searches to arranging the shows and tributes. From the transformation of some of Aspen's classiest meeting places to lining up some of the biggest names in comedy, which this year include; Billy Crystal, Bob Newhart and the cast of In Living Color among others. By festival time, it should come as no surprise the USCAF is armed with a staff topping 300 to deliver over 80 hours of comedy, filling 6 large venues over 4 full days. As you can tell, when it comes to putting on the biggest comedy festival in the world, the USCAF is no joke.
