Summary
When Valerie hosts a big party for the debut of "The Comeback," Jane is suspiciously absent. We soon discover why: the reality footage has been edited into a montage of embarrassing moments, from Mickey's surreptitious glances at Jesse's body to Valerie screaming at Francesca to her cupcake-clad slugging of Paulie G. - followed by their humiliating "double-vomit."
Realizing she's been deceived into starring in "the Crazy Actress Show," Valerie turns her anger towards Jane, leading the camera crews to her apartment to turn the tables. "How do you like it, Jane? What are you feeling?!" she yells as Jane's camera guys train their lenses on their boss.
Valerie decides to announce she is quitting 'The Comeback" on the Jay Leno show the following night, after telling Jay what the "deceitful people" behind the reality show have done to her. But she is preempted by Jay's excited announcement that "everybody's been talking about your show," and plays along when he challenges her to a playful boxing match reenactment of the Paulie G. incident.
Swept up in the audience cheers, Val forgets her humiliation. And when the network calls immediately after the show to tell her they're renewing "The Comeback" for another season ("the crazy vomit thing has pushed it over the top!"), she's giddy with shock. "They're picking us up for another season after one episode - that never happens!" she tells Jane, just after hugging her.
Her "comeback" is official when she is greeted by autograph-seekers outside the Leno studio, finally granting her the adoration she's been waiting for.
