Summary
When Room and Bored is nominated for a People's Choice Award, Valerie is beside herself. "I'm not one of those stars who pretends that dressing up and walking the red carpet is a big pain in my you-know-what" she tells her reality crew.
The first order of business is the fast - nothing but lemon water, cayenne pepper and maple syrup. And after Gigi the writer bursts into tears (she's not invited to the awards show), Valerie offers to take her as her date - leaving Mark a little disappointed. As for the red carpet appearance, her new publicist has concocted the perfect reality TV photo op: the star of the Comeback bedecked in the winner of Project Runway's latest gown. Valerie begs off, having promised her designer from I'm It! that she would wear his gown - a green and silver bedazzler special with an 80s showgirl boa. But after a reminder that she will be walking the red carpet with Juna (who was nominated for "Favorite Female TV Star"), Val chooses the reality TV designer's sexy cleavage-bearing number.
The red carpet proves to be less embracing than her red dress, however, as fans fail to recognize her and she can't seem to get any media time. And when the Project Runway designer, Jay, arrives, he's horrified to find Valerie wearing his dress backwards, and asks her to change - causing her to miss out on the one TV interview she might've scored (as Juna's sidekick).
At least she gets a big thank you from Juna in her acceptance speech, until they cut off her sound and no one hears the tribute. But glory finally arrives in the form of an intrepid photographer who catches Juna and Valerie sneaking out the back of the awards dinner - heading off to Kiefer Sutherland's private party for the cool kids.
