Summary
Now that the network has re-tooled Room and Bored, the cast is back at work - but not without some big adjustments. Tom and Paulie G. have brought in two new actors, ultimately sending Chris and Jesse to the sidelines. Back at home, Mark's daughter Francesca is shaking things up with her precocious new friend Kalla, who asks Valerie to take them to Juna's CD signing and "hook her up" with Chris.
After a pep talk from Valerie about the importance of supporting each other, Chris and Jesse urge "the original five" to plot a rebellion, convincing a reluctant Valerie to join them in sitting out work for a day. When their agents talk them out of it, they neglect to call Valerie, who ends up the lone protesting cast member absent from the set. Learning of the change in plans, she frantically rushes to the set, gives "the kids" a piece of her mind, then tells Tom and Paulie G. they need to tend to their troubled sitcom family. Already frazzled, Valerie returns home to find Francesca and Kalla lounging by the pool with cigarettes, a bottle of wine and friends, pushing her to the brink.
