After 3 years at USC film school, and while still a senior at college, Tracy Torme was hired as a staff writer by the critically acclaimed NBC comedy series SCTV. At age 22, he signed a three year deal with SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE as a writer/filmmaker.
Over the past two decades, Torme has evolved into an award winning writer/producer working in television, motion pictures, documentaries, and novels.
Among his credits are the Paramount feature FIRE IN THE SKY and the CBS mini-series INTRUDERS. Torme produced and wrote the first two seasons of STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION where he won a Peabody award. Tracy then went on to create, Executive Produce, and write music for SLIDERS a cult favorite which ran for five seasons on Fox and the Sci-Fi channel.
Torme singed over-all deals with Universal Television, MTV, and Warner Brothers Television. He is a published novelist, a guest columnist for the New York Times, and a noted creator of Television. He recently created DOOMSDAY an animated show for UPN which he Executive Produced with Howard Stern. His most recent credits included THE OUTER LIMITS, Executive Producer of the Showtime Network's ODYSSEY FIVE, and Consulting Producer on HBO's CARNIVALE.
Tracy lives in Los Angeles with his wife Robin, three dogs, and four cats.
