Clea Duvall

As Sofie
In a relatively short span of time, Clea Duvall has burst upon the scene and has quickly become one of Hollywood's most sought-after talents. With starring roles in the psychological thriller Identity, the independent comedy But I'm A Cheerleader and the award-winning drama Girl Interrupted, Clea's resume is as extensive as it is versatile.

Duvall first gained recognition in the independent feature How to Make the Cruelest Month, which was one of sixteen films in dramatic competition as the 1998 Sundance Film Festival. Later that same year, her starring role as the rebellious loner 'Stokely' in Dimension's The Faculty, garnered her nominations for both Blockbuster and Teen Choice Award for 'Breakout Performance.'

She co-starred in the star-studded HBO production of "The Laramie Project," based on the true story of Matthew Sheperd, a gay college student who is murdered in Wyoming. Additional recent credits include The Slaughter Rule, a drama co-starring Ryan Goesling, and Thirteen Conversations About One Thing, an ensemble drama starring Matthew McConaughey, John Turturro and Alan Arkin. All three films premiered at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival.

Additional credits include John Carpenter's sci-fi thriller Ghosts of Mars, Lions Gate's comedy But I'm A Cheerleader starring opposite Natasha Lyonne, the award-winning drama Girl, Interrupted, She's All That with Freddie Prinze, Jr. and The Astronaut's Wife opposite Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Clea first became interested in acting while attending the Los Angeles High School of the Arts. During her time there, she performed in the theater and also took acting classes outside of school. Upon graduation, she quickly landed an agent and a manager and has been working nonstop ever since.
