The main event features an intriguing 12-round junior welterweight showdown between hot prospect Victor Ortiz (24-1-1, 19 KOs) from Oxnard, Cal. and Marcos Rene Maidana (25-1, 24 KOs) of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Last seen on HBO in March, when he scored a standout win over Mike Arnaoutis, Ortiz is meeting the his most formidable opponent to date.
