"Sugar" Shane Mosley (45-5, 38 KOs), a native of Pomona, Cal., will need all his ring smarts and physical skills to spring the first surprise of the new year. One of the most decorated fighters of the past decade, the veteran is coming off a 12th-round KO of Ricardo Mayorga last September, and has won six of his last seven bouts.
