All the rain in England, the Atlantic ocean and four nights of pre-fight partys couldn't stop the thousands of Hatton fans from spilling into the MGM Grand Arena to cheer for Ricky and jeer at Mayweather. A decidedly pro-Hatton crowd overwhelmed the Mayweather fans in the audience. Arriving late to the weigh-in Mayweather's crew wasted no time trading verbal jabs with Hatton's side of the dias. Weighing in at 147 to Hatton's 145, Mayweather looked primed for Saturday night's event, and both fighters, looking chiselled and fierce, went nose to nose, pushing against each other as photographer's flash bulbs popped in tune to the throngs of chanting Hatton fans.
