OFFICIAL WEIGH-IN

Both fighters made weight this afternoon at the official weigh-in, held at Mandalay Bay Events Center. Carlos Baldomir weighed in at 147lbs even, while "Pretty Boy" Floyd came in at 146lbs.

A large and mostly mixed fan base filled part of the Mandalay Bay Events Center this afternoon to watch Carlos Baldomir and Floyd Mayweather face off for the last time before meeting in the ring for their much awaited match up tomorrow night. Looking every bit the tank that he is, Baldomir squared off on the scale and shot both fists like pistons into the air after his precise 147lb weight was called out. Baldomir, who walks around at a much higher weight, seemed to have no issues coming down to perfect weight.

Floyd Mayweather also cruised easily past his weight requirement, weighing in just one pound under the limit. Mayweather looked his usual primed self; accompanied by his entourage he beamed at the crowd and photographers to cheers from the crowd.

Perhaps not surprisingly the crowd in attendance seemed to be equal for each fighter, if not slightly skewed for Baldomir. Chants of "AR-GEN-TI-NA" filled a portion of the stands as fans showed their support for the champion whose stature among boxing fans has seen a rise since his quick defeat of Arturo Gatti. Not one to be bothered with competition, Mayweather responded to the chants by breaking into a dance and grabbing his numerous belts and waving them around.

If the energy displayed by both fighters this evening is any measure, they are both in great shape and have built this event up to the boiling point. Saturday night the world finds out who gets cooked.
