'Boardwalk Empire' picked up 12 Primetime Emmy nominations including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Steve Buscemi) and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Tim Van Patten). The show was also recognized in a number of craft categories including costumes, visual effects, hairstyling and makeup.
In all, HBO received 81 nominations, the most for any network for the 12th year in a row. The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards will take place in Los Angeles on September 23. The full list of nominees can be found at the link below.
