Fearsome Portrayal of Gangster Gyp Rosetti Earns Bobby Cannavale Emmy Nomination

Boardwalk Empire picked up 10 Primetime Emmy nominations including Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Tim Van Patten), Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Bobby Cannavale as Gyp Rossetti), and Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series. The show was also recognized in a number of craft categories including costumes, hairstyling, and makeup. This is the show's third year in as many seasons to receive multiple nominations and Director Tim Van Patten's second nomination.

In total, HBO received 108 nominations, the most of any network for the 13th year in a row. The 65th annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on September 22 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The full list of nominees can be found at the link below.
