Scheffer also scripted HBO Films' "Home" and "If These Walls Could Talk 2." Other TV credits include scripts for "The Pact" for Lifetime and "Howard Hughes' Last Flight" for FX. In addition, he created two dramatic series for CBS, "Ellis Island" and "Duck Town," and was a writer on the network's "Citizen Baines."
Scheffer's feature film scripts have included "Where River Turns to Sky" for Fox Searchlight and "Easter," an independent film adapted from one of his plays and produced with his partner, Mark V. Olsen, for their production company, Anima Sola Productions.
Selected as one of the members of the Joseph Papp Public Theater's first Emerging Playwright's Lab in 1994, Scheffer's plays have been produced and work-shopped across the country and at such theaters as Playwright's Horizons, Naked Angels, The Actors Studio, Ensemble Studio Theater and The Public Theater.
