• The forest set, recreating the Bois Jacques in Bastogne, was built in an airplane hanger using real trees, as well as 250 trees created by the special effects department.
  • The forest set was backfilled with earth to a depth of five feet
  • Over a quarter of a million dollars worth of "snow" was used to created these winter scenes.
  • It took four weeks to dress the forest set, individually dressing every tree and laying snow a foot and a half deep on the ground.
