The Bloodhound of Detroit
In December 1999, after customers at a Dearborn, MI diner complained of odors wafting out of a dumpster, police discovered not yesterday's Sloppy Joe - but the decaying remains of human arms and legs wrapped in plastic.

Later, a matching torso of a woman was found in a farmer's field (seen left). But with no head found, police couldn't ID the woman - until the sister of Tracy Islam called from England and filed a missing-person report. Seems Tracy was separated from her husband Azizul, moved to England, and returned home recently for a visit with her kids.

Questioned at his home, Azizul (seen upper right) admitted the two had quarreled but denied wrongdoing, inviting police to take a look around. The cops got suspicious when they noticed that the basement floor had been recently (and hastily) painted. They decided it was time to call in Eagle (seen left), a canine Sherlock Holmes with a knack for sniffing out blood - and solving this particular murder case.

In the photo right, luminal is sprayed on the paint roller, revealing flecks of blood belonging to Tracy Islam.
