From Autopsy 4: The Dead Speak Snowball When 32-year-old Shirley Duguay vanished on Prince Edward Island, white hairs found on a jacket at the crime scene were linked to a cat. Having recalled that suspect John Beamish (seen upper left) lived with a cat named Snowball (seen right), detectives were able to link DNA from the hairs (seen lower left) to Snowball, and Beamish was convicted -- marking the first time a DNA "pawprint" has been used to secure a murder conviction.
