Fun-House "Dummy"
After a film crew scouting a Long Beach fun house came across a "dummy" whose arm had broken off, it was determined that this was, in fact, a corpse.
Following an autopsy and a records search, the corpse was identified as Elmer McCurdy, an outlaw killed in a gunfight years earlier.

Identification was made using a special forensic imaging technique whereby a photo of McCurdy (left) was juxtaposed over the petrified corpse (lower left). The two matched perfectly, thus ending the mystery of the fun house "dummy."

With no one to pay for a funeral, the embalmed body had become a well-traveled sideshow attraction!
