| "Hip, funny, irreverent and fully caffeinated" (New York Daily News). Director Guy Ritchie's darkly comic follow-up to Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is a slam-bang heist flick full of colorfully named Cockney characters and arresting action. The theft of an extremely large diamond launches the excitement as it goes through a number of hands including a pair of illegal boxing promoters (Jason Statham, Stephen Graham), a crooked gambler disguised as a Hasidic Jew (Benicio Del Toro), an unintelligible Irish boxer (Brad Pitt) and a toothy thug named Brick Top (Alan Ford), and even involves a dog who swallowed a squeaky toy. "Fresh, funny, original and full of punch" (Leonard Maltins 2002 Movie Video Guide). (R) (AC,AL,N,V) |
