A Mother's Desperation
Total Running Time: 8:01 min.
In
Pittsburgh, a middle-age woman named Donna turned to police as a last resort to save her
23-year-old daughter Aubrey, who has been addicted to heroin for seven years and who
has been in and out of rehab 12 times. With her daughter AWOL, a desperate Donna has
a warrant issued for her arrest. Fortunately, Aubrey turns herself in after five weeks; a
first-time offender, she's released on her own recognizance. Driven home by Donna,
Aubrey admits she can't keep living like this, but also can't promise to stay clean. Her
mother wants a contract: "You help me, and I'll help you, and maybe we'll make it."
WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
